Say no to war on Iraq - resistance is possible!

Now that the war has started: Sit-in at the US-Airbase Rhein/Main on the 29 March!

In defiance of the worldwide protest of millions of people, the United States and Great Britain's intentions to wage war against Iraq have become reality. We want to use this decisive time to signal clearly our determination for peace and to move the conflict platform to a highly symbolic and critical location! After the successful sit-in on 22 February 2003, where nearly 3,000 people blocked the US-airbase near Frankfurt for three hours, followed by the even longer blockage of ten hours and of three gates to the airbase on 15 March 2003, it is now time for all of us to make our views on this illegal war public. For this reason on 29 March 2003 we are holding a sit-in at the US Airbase once again for an indefinite period of time. We are going to try to block several entrances for at least 24 hours.

More than 7,000 people have signed our appeal, and by doing so have voiced their support for "resist" and declared their intention to offer resistance by whatever means possible against this war on Iraq (see appeal text). With these pledges of commitment and a series of acts of civil disobedience, "resist" wants to increase the pressure on European governments and the Bush administration to stop this war and its support immediately!
"resist" is an initiative of people who have been engaged in a wide range social movements for several years.

Join the campaign! Sign the pledge of commitment! Take part in our large non-violent sit-in on 29 March 2003 at the US-airbase Rhein/Main near Frankfurt/Germany!
